Lusona have been instructed by our client, a Big 4 firm of Chartered Accountants, to recruit an Audit Manager for their expanding office in Aberdeen. 

Working directly with Partners/Directors, the Audit Manager will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of audit clients including listed global groups, referred international work and privately-owned local businesses. Crucially, you will build strong, enduring client relationships and provide effective technical and project management experience in order to deliver audits to the highest quality and standards. You will also be responsible for the management and development of the audit team.

  • Building co-operative relationships, anticipating viewpoints of others and addressing any concerns in a supportive environment
  • Providing on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring to support individual development needs and career aspirations
  • Proactive engagement in cross-functional communications and involvement in the sharing of relevant information.
  • Knowledge and experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audit, review of statutory accounts and disclosures.
  • Effective leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate all staff.
  • Strong project management techniques including decision-making ability, analytical skills, time management and evaluative skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong business development acumen.

You will be professionally qualified (CA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with significant management gained in an external audit capacity. You will have proven knowledge of current accounting and financial reporting standards including IFRS and UK GAAP. Knowledge of US GAAP would be beneficial. Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills are essential.
