Part-qualified Audit and Accounts Trainee sought for the Edinburgh office of this renowned mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent time for an enthusiastic self-starter to join the audit team as they continue to experience a significant period of growth across a variety of client sectors. This is a mixed role which will include completing audit and accounts work both in the office and at client premises; therefore you must be highly adaptable and act as an excellent ambassador for the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring audit quality at all times, maintaining audit standards and working to strict deadlines and set budget
  • Preparing accurate accounts to timescales, requesting more information from the client where necessary
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships, providing regular feedback to clients and partners with confidence and credibility
  • Working effectively in a team and individually, providing support to junior member of the audit team and acting as a role model
  • Maintaining and developing technical audit and accounts knowledge

You will be AAT qualified and/or part-qualified ICAS/ACCA with first time passes in professional exams to date. You will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience gained within an external audit and accounting environment across a variety of client sectors and sizes. You will demonstrate passion for completing tasks and client engagement and will have excellent interpersonal skills. A professional and commercially-minded approach to your duties is imperative.
