Analyst Programmer required to join the global software development team of a highly-regarded professional services firm in Glasgow city centre. This is an excellent career opportunity for a developer with a minimum of 1 year’s experience.

Operating within an agile scrum environment, this is a junior development role that requires someone who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies, including (but not limited to) .NET MVC, SQL, Business Intelligence, Azure, Sharepoint and Sitecore.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with other members of the development team, as well as BA’s and technical architects to develop new software applications
  • Communicating with end-users on a regular basis, maintaining a service minded approach at all times
  • Upgrading existing applications as the needs of the business evolve or change direction
  • Working collaboratively within a technical development team, building strong and effective working relationships
  • Carrying out software testing to minimise code errors, fixing issues as they arise and re-checking until correct
  • Providing ad hoc 3rd line application support

Essential Experience:

  • College or University degree in Computer Science, Software Development or relevant subject.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a professional software development team, preferably with C#.NET 4 / .NET Core
  • Exposure to web development technologies (e.g. MVC)
  • Database programming on SQL Server
  • Front-end development experience (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Responsive Web Design, JQuery, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines


  • Experience or familiarity with a version control system, agile development practices and TDD
  • Experience of developing and administering workflow products (e.g. Sharepoint)
  • Experience of developing sites and applications on Azure
