Lusona is working with our client based in Motherwell to find suitable applicants for the post of Accounts Assistant, to join our clients growing Finance team.

Duties will mainly involve,

  • Client Invoicing –  produce weekly and monthly invoices, collating any recharges and posting to the Finance system then issuing to clients;
  • Supplier Invoicing – receipting invoices, issuing to budget holders for authorisation, posting to the Finance system and organising payment in a timely manner;
  • Dealing with supplier queries via emails and calls;
  • Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes;
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports when required;
  • Monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Assist with preparation of month-end journals;
  • Supporting the finance team;
  • Contribute to financial audits;
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks

Candidates must have good Accounts payable/Accounts Assistant experience. The role will be based at home mainly but may require some days working in the office which has been adapted safely to suit Covid guidelines, Candidates must be highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision. Excellent IT skills including Ms. Excel are essential for this role.
