Experienced Accounts Assistant required for the Accounts team of this independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. The team provide high quality advice and assistance in every aspect of their clients’ financial and accounting needs allowing their owners to concentrate on generating income for their business activities.
Reporting to management, you will work with a varied range of clients including small family-owned limited companies, medical practices and charities. The team also advises sole traders and professional partnerships. Responsibilities will include Bookkeeping duties, VAT returns, preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts.
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in either a small firm of Chartered Accountants or alternatively the Business Services/Advisory team of a mid-tier CA practice. Accounts preparation skills are imperative as is the ability to communicate effectively with clients and work well in team environment. You will be a proactive individual with an eagerness to learn new technical skills ad systems.
You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and working knowledge of accounting packages such as Sage Line 50 and Xero, as well as experience using excel.
