The Accounts & Advisory practice of this national firm of Chartered Accountants currently seek an ambitious Accounts Assistant for their expanding Glasgow team.

The team are passionate about providing an outstanding quality of service to their clients including statutory and management accounts preparation, financial forecasting and business advisory. You will in turn have the opportunity to work with your own portfolio of clients ensuring excellence in delivery and developing relationships.

Reporting to Management, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Regular client engagement, being the main point of contact for your portfolio of clients and attending client meetings
  • Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of VAT returns 
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations 
  • Assisting with SAGE/XERO implementation and training for clients 
  • Preparation of financial forecasts 
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Leading other ad-hoc advisory assignments

You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated part or fully qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent) with broad relevant accounting experience gained within an accountancy practice. Experience of portfolio management is preferred, but not essential. You must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and experience of FRS 102. Strong interpersonal and client handling skills are imperative as are developed numerical and IT skills.
